We are a private members’ club that has been in operation for over 50 years. We rely on the help of our members to keep our costs down…whether it is maintenance around the Club (inside or outside), working in the kitchen or helping out in the air rifle range (SchiessStand). Help is appreciated and wanted!
Our board of directors is made up of 8 members and members are urged to run for office, 5 of the positions must be held by a member of Austrian parentage and proof of such will be requested.
Both German and English are spoken at our general meetings and the Club newsletter is usually written in both German and English. The objectives of the Austria Vancouver Club are to promote and maintain the Austrian culture, colloquial speech, traditions and folklore.
The Club has the following undergroups:
– AVC Melody Chor (mixed choir)
– MGV Lyra Chor (mens choir)
– AVC Edelweiss Dancers (Schuhplattler folkdance group)
The Club offers the following functions:
– Family night most Fridays with dinner
– Bi-weekly dances Saturday with live music and dinner
– Summer Gardenfeste
– Oktoberfeste
– Air Rifle Range
Membership runs from January 1 to December 31 and dues must be paid annually but you can also purchase more than one year.
Our membership rates are one of the lowest in the Metro Vancouver area!

and it will be emailed to our secretary (if on a computer, make sure your email app is open!). If this does not work, fill out the form and save onto your computer. Once you save it, send it to [email protected].
Our secretary will reach out to you regarding payment once she has reviewed your information.

To renew your membership, please use the 2nd form on the bottom indicating how many years you would like to renew for. Please send in the form and the secretary will contact you regarding payment.
The initaion fee is a onetime fee and will only be charged once as long as you renew your membership.
